Born and raised in Miami, FL, I am a first-generation Cuban-American whose journey into video editing began in early childhood, with an inclination towards animation, storytelling, and technology. I pursued higher education at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts' School of Filmmaking, graduating in 2012. Shortly after, I began freelancing with clients such as Univision Deportes Network, Visa, Oster, Baptist Health So.FL, and Lennar Homes.
In 2013, I was hired as a Junior Editor at the independent ad agency Gallegos United, leading to a cross-country move to Southern California to help establish the post-production arm for their in-house production company, Oak Leaf Productions. My responsibilities included developing the agency’s first post-production workflow structure and project archival backup systems, training and mentoring assistant editors, and solving technical and creative challenges. After five years with the agency, I decided to return to freelance work in 2018, joining the west-coast-based Pixel Power Post roster. This transition enabled me to work with high-profile brands such as Smashbox, AT&T, Toyota, Lexus, and many more.
With over a decade of experience in the advertising, marketing and entertainment industries, I have crafted hundreds of commercials, branded content, social media pieces, and short documentaries, blending both creativity and technical prowess. Outside of the cutting room, I enjoy camping, hiking, and road-tripping with my wife, as well as practicing yoga, making pizza, enjoying cinema, and gaming, while remaining neutral in the console vs. PC debate. For those curious about my personality type, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator identifies me as an INTJ. As of 2024, I currently reside in the Boise, ID metropolitan area, passionate about continuing my work in video post-production while also exploring short-form narratives and documentaries.
